Ozone Filters

Electric discharges during the printing process convert oxygen into ozone which is harmful for human lungs and has corrosive properties affecting rubber parts of a printer especially. Due to this most laser printers with corona wires have ozone filters. Ozone filters can tear down with time or due to heavy usage and need to be replaced with new ones. Although, there is no fixed number of prints after which ozone filters must be replaced, most experts agree that these must be replaced at least once a year or after 50000 impressions whichever is early. Many printer drum replacement come with ozone filters which allows one to change ozone filters each time the printer drum is changed.
