Photoconductors
Photoconductors also known as photoconductor unit or photoconductor drum are considered essential for working of any modern laser printer. Photoconductors consist of a photosensitive drum which is used for receiving digitised data via an electrostatic charge and later distributes this data along with toner powder to paper. Photoconductors are designed to print thousands of pages and dusting of the photoconductor can cause various issues such as smearing of toner. Most of the times small issues associated with photoconductors can be solved by simply cleaning the photoconductor unit. As photosensitive units, photoconductors are very sensitive to light and need to be protected from any kind of light especially from sunlight.
