Waste Toners & Collectors

Most modern laser printers contain a waste toner bottle or waste toner collector which is used for collecting and storing excess toner not used during the printing process. Depending on the size and type of a printer these waste toner collectors need to be emptied or replaced after printing anywhere from 5000 to 30000 pages. Unlike other printer parts waster toner collectors are in most cases easily accessible and can be replaced even by someone with little to no technical knowledge. If a waste toner collector is full and not able to accept any more waste toner, then this may lead to printer malfunctioning as most printers will not work unless the toner collector is replaced.
