Coloured Pencils

Coloured pencils are pencils just in name as they differ in significant ways from the standard or normal graphite based pencils. The only similarity between a normal pencil and coloured pencil is their shape. Coloured pencils use wax or oil based core which often contains various coloured pigments. Most colour pencils nowadays are made up of toxic-free and eco-friendly materials as chewing of pencils by children in the past often lead to serious health issues and forced the companies to change the chemical composition of coloured pencils. Coloured pencils are available in various types such as water colour pencils, pastel pencils, mechanical coloured pencils and artist grade pencils.
