Pens are the most common stationery item easily found in almost all offices and workplaces. Indeed, pen and paper have become synonymous with the word office. Mostly blue and black pens are used in offices as these two colours are preferred by users due to their high contrast with white paper surface. Pens in one form or another have been used since antiquity and have undergone numerous transformations with time. Even today there are several pens being used across all settings such as fountain pens, roller point pen, ballpoint pen etc. Fountains pen ruled the office space for almost a century until they were replaced by ballpoint pens in 20th century.
