Lasers

A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. Interestingly, the term ""laser"" originated as an acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.’ A laser differs from other sources of light in that it emits light coherently, that is it stays narrow and precise over long distances and can be focused on a small spot.

  1. Fiber-Coupled Lasers
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

Fibre-coupled lasers consist of an optical fibre or fibres which connect the laser head to the electronics, and are suitable for a range of applications requiring additional positioning of the laser. They are available as self contained laser systems or as modules for integration into new or existing setups, and are also available for operation over a wide range of wavelengths from the near ultraviolet to the near infrared. Both manual and software operated systems are available.

  2. Gas Lasers
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

A gas laser converts gas through an electrical unit which then converts into a laser light output. Different types of gases have different benefits, including influences on the laser’s power, efficiency, and wavelength. Gas lasers are used in gas sensing, molecular spectroscopy, environmental monitoring, night-vision testing and thermal cameras.

  3. Laser Diode Modules
    - 1 Supplier 1 Product

Laser diode modules are electrical semiconductor lasers used when space is a factor but a constant power is required. Laser diode modules are commonly used in fibre optic communication, laser pointers, barcode readers, reading and recording of CD/DVD/Blu-ray, laser printing and scanning.

  4. Laser Diode Systems
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

Laser diode systems are suitable for use in a variety of applications that require high efficiency, long operating lifetimes, or beam quality. They offer complete packages of all the components needed to operate the laser and are available in a range of wavelengths from ultraviolet to visible.

  5. Laser Measurement and Electronics
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

Laser measurement tools offer true laser light for the most accurate measuring. To use, you simply point the laser distance measuring device's dot at a target, which can be nearly any object, and the device will show the distance on its LCD screen. Laser measuring devices will show multiple units of measurement, are extremely accurate and can save a significant amount of time.

  6. Laser Mechanics
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

Laser mechanics cover a broad range of mechanical parts such as laser beam delivery components and articulated arm systems. Laser mechanical components can be used in every type of industrial application including cutting, welding, drilling, scribing, surface treatment and other processes, and with every type of laser.

  7. Laser Optics
    - 0 Suppliers 0 Products

Laser optics are substrates – the basic component of a laser optic - which are refined with a dielectric coating. Due to the wide range of possible combinations between the substrate and the coating, one laser optic seldom resembles another, meaning there are many different types of laser optics available to meet your needs.

  8. Laser Safety
    - 1 Supplier 1 Product

Laser safety precautions and equipment is important given the potential danger that lasers pose, particularly to eyes and skin. Safety equipment should be widely available to anyone who operates a laser or any type – with such equipment including laser beam shutter, laser blocking curtains, laser blocking partitions, laser filter windows, laser warning signs, laser interlock systems, laser warning signs, laser safety software, laser power metres and laser protective eyewear.
