Optical Mirrors

Optical mirrors are specifically shaped mirrors designed to reflect light through a wavelength or range of wavelengths, to reflect, focus or beam light in a range of applications. Optical mirrors include laser mirrors that are optimised for a specific wavelength and feature materials that offer protection from damage from the specified laser wavelength. Other types of optical mirror available are flat, focusing, metal substrate and other speciality optical mirrors such as hot mirrors, cold mirrors, deformable mirrors and cone mirrors. Mirrors are available in a range of specialised reflective coatings depending on the application, such as enhanced aluminium, protected silver and protected gold. This ensures the highest possible reflectivity of the required wavelength or wavelength range. Optical mirrors are used for Interferometry, illumination, imagery, beam steering in the solar, semiconductor, astronomy, metrology and life sciences industries.
