Microphones

A microphone (often called a mic) is a transducer that works by converting sound into an electrical signal. Depending on the function, there is a wide range of microphones available in the market. The most common categories are dynamic microphones (also known as moving-coil microphone), large diaphragm condenser mics, small diaphragm condenser mics, dynamic mics, bass mics, ribbon mics, multi-pattern mics, USB mics, and boundary mics. Microphones are used in a wide range of applications including in telephones, public address systems, hearing aids, sound recording, megaphones, television broadcasting, radio broadcasting and motion picture production.
