Aprons

Aprons are used for protecting one’s body from stains, microbes, blood, chemicals etc. Aprons have become synonymous with some professions such as medical practitioners, surgeons, chefs and other workers who need to wear them in the kitchen, and are even used in homes for cooking, cleaning and other activities. Disposable full body aprons are the most popular ones, although waist only aprons both durable and disposable are also available in all shapes and sizes. Aprons are made up of several materials as depending on the use a worker normally needs a specialised apron, cloth and plastic based aprons are commonly used in kitchens, labs and homes, whereas rubber aprons intended for an environment where a person may be exposed to a chemical. Lead-based aprons are used by X-ray technicians as a protection against radioactive X-rays.
