Software Consultancy

Software consultancy is a service provided by an external consultant or consultancy company, whereby the consultant(s) are hired for a fix period of time to advise a business or organisation on their software needs. This is usually done with the Software Consultant spending time in-house, analysing the needs of the organisation, making an assessment and recommendations on software solutions. Software consultancy is often referred to as external software management. As software can perform a wide variety of functions, a software consultant might deliver software solutions to a wide variety of industries including retail, engineering, health and fitness, manufacturing, construction, education and NGOs.
