Buffing and Polishing

In both buffing and polishing, the surface of metal is changed to some degree. This can be by changing the top layer to remove subtle damage or using a rotary tool to even surface and obtain a shine. Both buffing and polishing, despite being different processes, achieve the same result. When buffing and polishing there are two types of buffing motions: the cut motion and the colour motion. Polishing and buffing is generally used to enhance the look of metalware.
