Galvanising

In galvanisation, zinc is applied to steel or iron to prevent rusting. The whole process can be called galvanisation or galvanisation but galvanising is the most common term in the industry. The zinc coating protects scratching and corrosion by providing a top layer. The most common types of zinc galvanisation are Zinc electroplating, Mechanical plating, Sherardising, Continuously galvanised sheet, Continuously galvanised wire, Galvanised pipe and tube, General or hot dip galvanising, Zinc metal spraying. The most common method of galvanising is hot-dip galvanising, which involves submerging parts in a bath of molten zinc. Galvanised steel is widely used in applications where corrosion resistance is needed without the cost of stainless steel.
