Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet cutting involves a tool known as a waterjet, which is a tool capable of cutting a wide variety of tools using just the pressure of water or water mixed with abrasive material which increases the force. Water alone, or water mixed with abrasive materials, is capable of cutting metal or granite. Waterjet, in its purist form, means without the addition of extra abrasive particles and it generally used on wood and rubber. Waterjet cutting and abrasive cutting are both ways of cutting, shaping, and reaming aluminum, glass, plastics, rubber, brass, copper, wood, and steel. Waterjet cutting is used in precision engineering, aerospace, marine and automotive, as well as architectural sectors such as sign makers, public art, architectural metal work and sculpture.
