CNC Milling

Milling is a machine manufacturing process that uses rotary cutters to remove material from a workpiece by feeding (or advancing) at the same angle of the axis tool. In CNC (computer numeric control) milling the process is controlled by computers which control the machine tools. Initially, the computers may well look like a standard PC, but they actually have unique software specific to the CNC machining process. CNC milling covers a wide selection of different machines, from the small to the large but the most common tool is the mill (or milling machine). Modern CNC milling machines are often classified as vertical machining centers (VMCs) and horizontal machining centers (HMCs). CNC milling is widely used by the manufacturing industry but also by hobbyists, artists, and designers who have their own CNC mills.
