Dip Moulding

In the industry of plastic processing, dip moulding is the process of shaping plastics by moulding, whereas plastic dip moulding is a technique where metal parts are coated with a plastic vinyl material to create a scratch free surface. Also referred to as dip coating, dip moulding can use materials such as latex, neoprene, polyurethanes, silicones and even epoxy. Dip Moulding is praised for being cost efficient by criticised for being tedious and not effective in terms of time. In terms of the finished product, the concern with dipping is always controlling the thickness. Products created by dip moulding include rubber gloves, condoms, and balloons.
