Aircraft Assembly

Aircraft assembly is the process of putting together an aircraft with all the manufactured assembled parts. Aircraft assembly is a specialised process that not just requires special skills but also premises big enough to house an aircraft. During aircraft assembly, the process usually takes place in a single combined station where all operations are undertaken except for engine installation (which is done as an end process). When all pieces are in position, a tool jig surrounds the aircraft for the junction of three fuselage parts, wings, horizontal and vertical stabilisers, landing gear, engine pylons and electric racks. Aircraft assembly is a specialist industry that specialises in the application of putting together finished aircrafts from manufactured components.
