Destructive Testing Services

Destructive testing services are extensively used in industry to determine the mechanical properties of a material, such as its strength, toughness and durability, to ensure that that material will comply with regulatory and quality guidelines. It achieves this by subjecting samples to various loads and stresses; and analyses the point at which the material breaks down. Typical tests include mechanical testing, hardness testing, macro and micro testing, material analysis and metallographic examinations to verify that the properties of the material are as expected. The technique is often used in conjunction with non-destructive testing (analysing the performance of materials while in operation or otherwise without causing irreparable damage to the sample) and as well as helping manufacturers to meet their legal responsibilities, also reduces probability and incidence of accidents, failure of equipment and the cost those can bring.
