Stabilised Transformers Ltd was established in the mid 1970s to supply transformers to UK and export markets.

Combining a vast knowledge and technical expertise our products are manufactured in house and provide excellent quality and reliability

The company has wide and varied experience in the design and manufacture of transformers and associated wound components.

Our products go into many industries including, variable speed drives, LV switchgear and instrumentation, shipbuilding, mining, telecommunications and major utilities.

We are also an approved supplier to MOD sub contractors.

In 2002, W Groves was incorporated into Stabilised Transformers Ltd this acquisition extended our product range into larger transformers and reactors.

W Groves were a well established company manufacturing a wide range of transformers including voltage transformers and Motor starting transformers with working voltages up to 13.8kV.

W Groves Ltd has supplied transformers and associated wound components worldwide. The portfolio of customers includes many blue chip companies in ship-building, mining telecommunications and major utilities encompassing water pumping and purification and the electricity supply authorities. The company also supplies a number of manufacturers of motor control centres and switchgear cubicles.

Our products are designed, manufactured and tested to meet national and international standards. We can also meet any special requirements dictated by customers own or specific product specification.
