Axis is the sole UK distributor of Stanley door equipment. This includes the Dura-Glide range of sliding doors and telescoping doors, plus swing doors as well as other specialist applications such as Flo-Motion® Manual sliding doors for healthcare environments. We undertake full risk assessment surveys to ensure that a proposed installation conforms to all safety recommendations as well as meeting your requirements. All our installations are in accordance with EN16005:2012 (formerly BS7036:1996 Safety at powered doors for pedestrian use) and are carried out by our accredited engineers.

Axis has extensive knowledge and experience in the automatic door industry, dealing with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors. Our range of automatic door products includes sliding, swing or bi-folding door systems, all tailor-made to suit specific applications.

To help protect your investment and extend the effective working life of the equipment, full maintenance packages are available and, in most cases, we can maintain your existing automatic and manual door systems.

We have Safe Contractor accreditation and Investors in People and are seeking further accreditations. We ensure that our staff are trained and given opportunities to develop and grow with us. All our technical and engineering staff are qualified to EN16005:2012, CSCS Health and Safety and First Aid where appropriate and receive continual product training.

Shopfronts & Curtain Walling

Axis offer a full supply installation and commissioning service complete with aluminium entrances, facades and curtain walling where required. Our Low Rise Curtain Wall System is an economic and aesthetically pleasing solution to façade cladding. The system is suitable for use on all buildings where good thermal and weather performance is required, and is suitable for low rise applications up to 20m tall.

Our Aluminium Shopfront Systems have profiles to suit both flush glazed and bead glazed applications, or a mix of the two. The standard dimensions are 100mm front to back and 45mm wide, with some sections having a width of 50mm or 100mm.

All of our window systems have a thermal break option. The thermally broken profiles meet current Document L requirements when glazed with argon gas filled K glass sealed units with warm edge spacer. Universal window profiles and components include sub-cills with varying projection, cill end-plates, Coupling Bars, and Weather Bars.

Access Control Products

Axis Automatic Entrance Systems offer a wide range of automatic door controls and accessories that can be categorised in 4 main areas:

Disabled persons Toilet System

Disabled people are deemed to need an automatic door to access retail outlets, offices, schools, hospitals, etc. but, when it comes to toilets they are usually expected to be able to open the door unaided. To make matters worse, those doors are larger and therefore heavier than standard doors in order to more readily accommodate wheelchairs. All the handrails, low level fittings, extra space and infra-red taps are of little use if you can’t get in!

Yet the solution is so simple. The Disabled persons Toilet System (DPTS)
The system is designed to work in conjunction with most types of automatic door operators such as the Stanley Magic Access™. This can automate virtually any swing door; new or existing. It effortlessly provides a full range of automatic door functions to an otherwise manual door. The operating mechanism is installed on to the door frame in place of a conventional closer and works with virtually any door up to 1120mm wide! Its versatility means it can be either full or low energy in operation and is non-handed so can be used for right or left handed doors with minimal field adjustments. Sliding Door operators are also available.

The DPTS consists of internal and external touch sensors and a controller. They are used in conjunction with an electromagnetic lock or electric strike as mechanical locks can present problems to some disabled people who may lack the dexterity needed to operate them. The preferred locking methods are electromagnetic lock or electric strike for swing doors and electronic solenoid locks for sliding doors.
