A-SAFE is the inventor and manufacturer of a system of protective barriers used in warehouses, car parks, factories, airports and other workplaces across the world.

Made from a patented product called Memaplex, A-SAFE barriers absorb and dissipate impacts from vehicles or hardware, protecting structures, personnel and machinery and creating huge cost savings in maintenance, replacement products and facility down-time. 

Rigorously tested using an in-house Research & Development team and independently verified by TÜV, A-SAFE barriers are a giant leap forward for modern Health & Safety practices and requirements. A-SAFE products have been rolled out as best practice across the world by Nestlé, and other recent clients include Coca-Cola, BMW, 3M, DHL, Unilever and Jaguar-Land Rover.

The company was formed in Halifax, UK in 1984 and now has offices in over 30 countries, including USA, Germany, Australia, Thailand and in Scandinavia. Over 60 products are available, including heavy duty Impact Barriers that absorb fork lift truck impacts, Atlas Barriers that protect airport masts and columns, iFlex RackGuards that wrap around warehouse racking legs and deflect impacts, Height Restrictors that protect against HGV loading and unloading impacts and Pedestrian Barriers for personnel safety and guidance. New products are regularly being brought to market once they adhere to all requisite Health & Safety standards.

A-SAFE also regularly create bespoke pieces for clients which address issues of safety concern and compliance that require special attention. The company also have systems for testing the performance characteristics of existing barrier systems and are able to suggest best products and procedures should a company’s barriers be unfit for purpose.

A-SAFE won the Queens Award for International Trade in 2014.
