Active Silicon specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of specialist imaging products. Frame grabbers include the Phoenix, LFG and Snapper boards in PCI Express, PCI, PMC, cPCI and PC/104-Plus form factors. We support all major (and many specialist) operating systems including Windows, Mac, DOS, Linux, QNX, Solaris and VxWorks platforms, including 64-bit versions where available. These provide acquisition solutions for a wide range of applications from low-cost analogue cameras to high-end digital (LVDS and Camera Link) formats.

Active Silicon also develops custom solutions for a diverse range of fully integrated vision systems throughout science and industry. New this year is an extremely rugged embedded vision system based on the ETX form factor. The ETX carrier board supports image capture from multiple analogue or Camera Link cameras and also includes options for serial ports, power supplies, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet and other I/O.
