Armada has hosted training courses for over 10 years. We provide professional staff training courses for people who use AutoCAD as well as other Autodesk products, technical writers and authors and also users of Adobe applications.

AutoCAD training

AutoCAD Essentials – for beginners (3 days)
Provides a thorough grounding in AutoCAD training for beginners. On completion, you will be able to use AutoCAD to produce accurate 2D drawings.

Course fee: £495 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses:  25-27 Jun, 16-18 Jul, 6-8 Aug, 28-30 Aug, 17-19 Sept, 8-10 Oct.

AutoCAD Intermediate (3 days)
Builds on basic concepts, teaching the use of features, commands and techniques for becoming more productive. For users who have either attended AutoCAD Essentials training, or who have a basic understanding of AutoCAD training through other means, who wish to build on their skills.

Course fee: £495 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses:  23-25 Jul, 24-26 Sept, 3-5 Dec

AutoCAD 3D (2 days)
Provides a thorough grounding in 3D fundamentals, teaching how to produce 3D drawings and models in AutoCAD. For user proficient in producing 2D drawings in AutoCAD, who now want to take advantage of AutoCAD’s 3D drawing and modeling capabilities.

Course fee: £495 + VAT

Autodesk Inventor training

Autodesk Inventor Essentials - for beginners (4 days)
Provides comprehensive Autodesk Inventor training, teaching how to use the tools and features available to design, edit and document 3D parts and assemblies.

3ds Max training

3ds Max training / 3ds Max Design Essentials – for beginners (3 days)
Introduces the basic functionality, features and principles behind 3ds Max training / 3ds Max Design and teach key theory and techniques that you need to use the application effectively.

Revit training

Revit Essentials – for beginners (3 days)
Revit training teaches the concepts of Building Information Modelling, and introduces the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture, Revit Structure or Revit MEP.

Maya training

Maya Foundation – for beginners (3 days)
Maya training teaches new users the mechanics of Maya, enabling you to create 3D graphics for print or animation.

SolidWorks training

Introduction to SolidWorks – for beginners (3 days)
SolidWorks training teaches the fundamental principles of 3D parametric part and assembly design and techniques for creating production-ready part and assembly drawings.

Technical Author Core Skills training

Introduction to Technical Authoring (1 day)
Technical author core skills training provides a grounding in technical authoring principles and writing styles appropriate to user documentation.

Course fee: £350 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses:  3 Sep, 15, Oct

Intermediate Technical Authoring (2 days)
Builds on the concepts and skills taught in the introductory technical authoring course, teaching further techniques for producing effective content.

Course fee: £595 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses: .4-5 Sep, 16-17 Oct,

Advanced Technical Authoring (2 days)
Teaches further techniques for producing professional standard technical documentation that is clear, concise and successfully meets the needs of users.

Course fee: £595 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses: 6-7 Sep, 18-19 Oct.

Reduced fee for attending all three of the above Technical Authoring courses (5 days) : £1195 + VAT per delegate.

MadCap Flare training

Basic and Intermediate MadCap Flare training (3 days)
After completing this training you will be able to use Flare to create a working help project with media-rich content and full navigation features. You learn how to use variables and conditional text to allow publishing in a range of document formats from a single project source.

Course fee: £745 + VAT

RoboHelp training

Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training (2 days)
On completing RoboHelp training you will be able to develop online help in a variety of formats, and produce high quality printed documentation (Word format) from your RoboHelp project.

Course fee: £395 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses: 12-13 Sep, 3-4 Dec.

Advanced Adobe RoboHelp (1 day)
Suitable for delegates who have attended our Basic and Intermediate Adobe RoboHelp training course, and experienced RoboHelp users who are looking to learn about its advanced features. Teaches the use of RoboHelp's advanced features, including the process for making online help context-sensitive, the use of styles, stylesheets and techniques, the development of skins, RoboScreen capture and an introduction to RoboSource, a necessity in multi-author environments.

Course fee: £295 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses:  12 Sep, 5 Dec.

Reduced fee for attending both the above RoboHelp courses (3 days): £595 + VAT.

FrameMaker training

Basic and Intermediate Adobe FrameMaker (2 days)
FrameMaker training provides a thorough grounding in Adobe FrameMaker for producing hard copy documentation in print format. Suitable for new users.

Course fee: £395 + VAT
Dates of 2012 courses: : 30-31 Jul, 22-23 Oct.

Advanced Adobe FrameMaker (1 day)
Teaches further useful features when working in unstructured mode, including producing books comprised of multiple documents, using variables generating a table of contents and index, and inserting cross-references. Advanced FrameMaker training is suitable for delegates who have attended our Basic and Intermediate Adobe FrameMaker training course, and experienced FrameMaker users who are looking to learn the additional techniques covered in the advanced syllabus.

Adobe Photoshop training

Introduction to Adobe Photoshop (2 days)
Adobe Photoshop training provides the essential knowledge you need to create and edit images. Training covers all major features including colour corrections, working with layers, compositing images and preparing images for use on the Web.

InDesign training

Introduction to Adobe InDesign (2 days)
InDesign training provides a comprehensive introduction to the powerful capabilities of InDesign, teaching you to produce pages quickly and output them reliably.

Publishing from InDesign to iPad, Android and BlackBerry (1 day)
Teaches how to publish content in InDesign to an array of mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, Android and BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Delegates learn how to create extraordinary interactive content and incorporate special effects. Delegates attending this course should have a good knowledge of InDesign, e.g. have attended Introduction to Adobe InDesign training and an understanding of image creation techniques using Creative Suite applications.

Course fee: £245 + VAT

Adobe Illustrator training

Introduction to Adobe Illustrator (2 days)
Adobe Illustrator training provides you with the essential knowledge you need to create shapes, work with type and layers and apply effects and styles. You have plenty of opportunity for hands-on practice. The course also investigates the most effective ways for integrating Illustrator into your workflow.

Captivate training

Introduction to Adobe Captivate training (2 days)
Captivate training provides a thorough grounding in Captivate. On completing the course you will have sufficient skill and confidence to begin creating your own simulations, demos and e-learning tutorials.

Dreamweaver training

Website creation with Adobe Dreamweaver – essentials training (2 days)
Dreamweaver training - during this course delegates learn how to design, develop and maintain a professional website using Adobe Dreamweaver. They create their own fully functioning website from scratch, covering all related topics along the way including how to effectively use CSS to layout and manage the website, and how to create, edit and optimise graphics and images. At the end of the course, delegates take this website away with them on Flash disk.
