Tachart Ltd aquired Williams Fasteners July 2020
Williams Fasteners has been supplying Sheffield with quality fixing and fasteners for over 100 years. In October 2016 Williams Fasteners was partly rescued by Northern Power Tools & Equipment Ltd of Sheffield, a UK Tools and Fasteners solution provider but this was only temporary as NPT suffered its own operational issues and went into formal administration in 2020.
Having a strong working relationship in the 1980's and missing out on the sale in 2016, Bolt & Nut Manufacturing acquired NPT including Williams Fasteners in June 2020 for the sole purpose to revitalising the Williams Fasteners brand and service. It is only through the determination of its staff and the strong bond with it's clients that Williams Fasteners, this pillar of Sheffield still breathes.
As of the 1st July 2020 Williams Fasteners now operate from a new home 10 miles to the North East of Sheffield with two of its former employees and a team of multi-skilled engineers who are on target to re-build what was lost; no longer a regional hub for UK Tools & Fasteners but the nation's market leader of fastener supplies.
With its new home and expertise, Williams Fasteners now has new opportunities, firstly to expand sales into Europe and beyond and secondly to make use of the most dynamic specialist fastener manufacturing facility in the UK.
