Our Bycycler system is designed to maximise your recycling and minimise your efforts. By separating your general waste into two main streams - dry recyclables and residual waste - Bywaters can help you to recycle typically up to 80% of your office waste.
‘Dry recyclables’ include all types of paper (white, coloured, newspaper, magazines and books), cardboard, empty drinks cans, bottles and cartons, plastic and paper cups. ‘Residual waste’ includes food scraps, crisp bags, sweet wrappers and anything contaminated with food.
The internal office Bycycler system consists of colour-coded dry recyclable and residual waste floor standing and workstation container, making it easy for staff to recycle at source. Dry recyclables are placed in tinted orange bags in silver containers and residual waste in tinted blue bags in blue containers.
The external Bycycler system is tailored to your requirements. Colour-coding makes it easy for cleaning staff to put the bags in the correct containers and equipment. We offer 240, 770 and 1100 litre orange containers for dry recyclables, and 240 and 770 litre blue containers for residual waste. For larger volumes of waste, we also offer a range of Bycycler static and portable compactors and Rear-End-Loading containers (RELs) for both material streams. Our compactors optimise transport loads, saving you transport costs and further reducing your impact on the environment. Our REL containers are available in 8, 12 and 16 cubic yard capacity for dry recyclables and 8 cubic yard for residual waste.

Our range of products is tailored specifically including heavy-duty compactors, certified crane-lifted skips and our unique chute and compaction system. We advise on waste segregation, recycling and disposal including hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

A sustainable construction solution
We make recycling easy, recycling on average 80% of all the construction waste we handle. We are currently redeveloping our construction recycling facilities to continue to improve our environmental performance.
Bywaters can also help you improve your own environmental performance with the Waste Awareness Course which has a module specifically designed to meet the construction industry requirements.
Bywaters offers a recycling service for fluorescent tubes in line with the 2005 Hazardous waste Regulations. For more information about this service, please contact our Environment Team on 020 7001 6000.
Electrical and electronic equipment can no longer be disposed of with your usual waste or recyclables. All waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must now be taken to an approved authorised transfer facility for recovery. WEEE includes non-hazardous equipment (such as toasters, coffee machines and videos), IT equipment (including CPUs, laptops and mainframes), hazardous equipment (including fluorescent lamps and lead batteries) and equipment with ozone depleting substances (such as air conditioning appliances and freezers).
For more information about the regulations, visit our legislation section or wwww.netregs.co.uk.
What this means to you
As a user of electrical and electronic equipment (and a resulting producer of WEEE) you must dispose of your WEEE correctly. The exact implications of disposal vary depending on when you bought the equipment (before or after 13th August 2005), from whom you bought it and the exact nature of that equipment.
How Bywaters can help
Bywaters can meet all your WEEE requirements and make recycling easy for you. We can advise you on all aspects of WEEE including legislation and disposal implications. We can collect and dispose of all types and quantities of WEEE either on a 'one-off' basis or as a regular collection.
