Cable testers for everyone is CableJoG Ltd's motto. We design, manufacture and distribute a range of cable testers from 12 test points in the case of the AudioJoG Pro and AudioJoG Rack through to 1024 in the CableJoG 512 with the extra 512 adaptor. Our cable testers, except the RibbonJoG model, test every pin against every other pin regardless which 'side' of the cable tester the cables are plugged into. This means that shorts across unconnected pins are automatically identified.
All CableJoG's testers check for continuity. The minimum resistance detected varies from model to model but, is always sufficient for a whole roll or reel of cable to be tested.
The first of our cable testers, CableJoG 128 can test up to 128 individual connections of all manufacturers of connectors. This simple test instrument stores up to 55 separate connection configurations. Each cable that is tested is compared with the configuration stored in the cable testers memory to produce a pass/fail indication of each pin connection.

Cable testing equipment, the simplest cable test equipment would consist of little else than a battery and a bulb or buzzer using the cable under test to complete the circuit. A lot of modern cable test equipment is not much better as these cable testers tend to consist of a battery, two rows of LED’s, a switch, and some connectors to mate with the cable under test. Again the cable under test completes the circuit, testing is accomplished by testing each of the circuits in turn and observing which LED’s come on.
Cable testing equipment with memory is the most useful advance from the battery bulb type as now testing is carried out against details held in memory so the testing is automated and the operator doesn’t have to make decisions at each test step. Results can be indicated via simple traffic light LED’s Passed, Failed etc. through to multiline alphanumeric displays which can detail actual fault types and locations.
The CableJoG 256 cable testers can test up to 256 individual connections of all manufacturers of connectors. This simple cable tester stores up to 12 separate connection configurations. Each cable that is tested is compared with the configuration stored in its memory to produce a pass/fail indication of each pin connection.
Each test result can be transferred to a PC or printer via a comms link to store, tabulate and print test information from CableJoG software that is provided.
Each test unit can be configured to the customers requirements by producing a loom of connectors that the customer readily uses, therefore forming a versatile test instrument.
