Following extensive customer engagement, Cygnus have developed a MK5 range of ultrasonic thickness gauges which still use the well established multiple-echo technique but incorporated within the PLUS models is single-echo and echo-echo measuring modes using twin crystal probes.  Single-echo and echo-echo can assist in obtaining measurements in areas of extreme corrosion or back wall pitting.
