  1. Event Capture and Diagnostic Triggering

    Event Capture and Diagnostic Triggering
Event Capture involves the monitoring of a wide range of signals surrounding a mechanical process in order to capture the signals during a particular event. The data gathered for analysis will therefore include the signals around the event and during it and can be used for fault diagnostics. The amount of data to be collected can be set with certain triggers established that will begin the detection process.

At Data Physics we provide high performance SignalCalc Analysers for Event Capture. The analysers will monitor time and frequency signals and gather data according to your instruction. Isolated events and false triggers will be ignored by the analyser if you are trying to analyse a particular trend of events.

For more details regarding our Event Capture and Diagnostic Testing systems, please contact us.
  2. Filtered Orders

    Filtered Orders
Filtering orders is a method of signal analysis similar to sine sweeping or rotor dynamics analysis. Filtering orders involves the application of a bandpass tracking filter that removes and blocks out the signals and harmonics of no interest to your testing and isolates those that must be analysed. The technique is of particular use during research and development and quality validation of specific component just installed into a mechanism.

At Data Physics we supply the SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for the filtering of orders. Our systems will enable the pinpointing of faults and wear within parts in rotating machinery and other engineering installations in the automotive, aerospace, research and defence industries.

For more information on the instruments that we provide for Filtering Orders, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  3. FRF (Frequency Response Function) Measurement

    FRF (Frequency Response Function) Measurement
Frequency Response Function measurements calculate levels of transfer function within a system with a known applied input. The measurement is made of the input force spectra and the level of vibration response, from which is calculated the level of frequency response to the input. Transfer function measurements are a key part of modal analysis of mechanical systems across many industries, including automotive, electronics, and civil engineering.

At Data Physics we can provide the SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for single input systems evaluations, and the SignalCalc Multiple-Input/Multiple-Output system for applications requiring multiple input forces. We also supply shakers and vibration controllers for accurate excitation input.

For more details of our Frequency Response Measurement systems, please contact us.
  4. Gear and Bearing Analysis (Demodulation)

    Gear and Bearing Analysis (Demodulation)
Demodulation is an analytical technique for the isolating of particular signals of interest from amongst a background of other noise and harmonic interference, or if the signal is mixed up with others as modulations of frequency or amplitude. Demodulation is a commonly used method of assessment and analysis for the checking of gears and bearings for faults within the automotive and process industries.

Here at Data Physics we provide the high performance SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for the purposes of demodulation. The analyser will extract original modulated frequencies from carrier waves for assessment and also provide amplitude and frequency demodulation.

For more information relating to our Demodulation systems for gear and bearing assessments, please contact us.
  5. Ground Vibration Testing

    Ground Vibration Testing
Ground Vibration Testing is an important method of quality verification used in the aerospace industry. Modal tests are carried out on the component parts of aircraft and spacecraft to check for safety and structural integrity. The results derived from the testing can be used in design modifications and as data for use in flight flutter testing.

At Data Physics we provide modal shakers and dynamic analysers for ground vibration testing. The modal shakers are for the excitation of the aircraft, whilst the analyser will check and assess the frequency responses. Our equipment can be used for stepped sine excitation or normal mode testing.

For more information on our range of Ground Vibration Testing equipment, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  6. High Intensity Acoustic Power Generation

    High Intensity Acoustic Power Generation
High Intensity Acoustic Power Generators are often used in aerospace engineering where high levels of acoustic power are required in research and development to simulate circumstances such as blast offs and rocket fire where there is extremely high air velocity. The power generators operate by amplifying the acoustic power to an intense level through a reverberation chamber or wave tube.

At Data Physics we can supply companies and acoustic test facilities with high and low frequency acoustic power generators. We have the engineering experience and knowledge to design and install entire acoustic power generation and testing systems if required.

For more information regarding the High Intensity Acoustic Power Generators we can supply at Data Physics, please contact us.

  8. Human Vibration Assessment

    Human Vibration Assessment
Products for handheld use or that require human interaction must meet certain regulations on the amount of vibration they create. Employees in factory and industrial settings where large installations and machinery create vibration and manufacturers who build products for the public must keep levels of vibration within the regulations laid out in quality and safety standards documents including ISO 2316 and ISO 5349.

Here at Data Physics we can provide the necessary human vibration filters for testing appliances and products. We supply the SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser with the capability to carry out peak hold averaging, third octave analysis, and human vibration filtering.
