The Gryphon I GM4100 Base Station Now Available With Anti-Counterfeit Feature
Datalogic Scanning is happy to announce the Gryphon I GM4100 Base Station is now available in a model with Counterfeit Money/ID Document detection.

The new base station comes with a UV Counterfeit Detector, typically used to verify the authenticity of Bank Notes. Other uses for the counterfeit detection include verifications on Passports, Travel Tickets, Credit Cards, Travellers Cheques, Event Tickets and similar applications where it is possible to detect fluorescent marks using a UV light.

Datalogic Scanning is pleased to announce that the successful Gryphon family has now been further extended with the introduction of the new Gryphon I GD4110 reader with EAS capability, which provides full integration with Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems.

EAS is a system that helps to reduce shoplifting losses and used to identify items as they pass through a gated area by using tags and labels. For this reason, an increasing number of systems are now installed worldwide, primarily in the retail market.

Unique for its characteristics and versatility which makes it suitable for many working environments, the Gryphon EAS reader provides outstanding performance when used at the counter: it is lightweight, easy to use with fast reading capabilities as well as robustness with unique features such as the Datalogic patented Green Spot. These all combine to make this reader the ideal solution in check-out activities.

With additional features developed to be integrated in the most important EAS systems (i.e. Checkpoint), the Gryphon EAS reader incorporates the requirements for all applications in the retail market.
