The industry standard for unpopulated PCB quality. The IPC 600 CIT and CIS training and certification courses ensure your staff can identify acceptable and non-conforming PCB conditions through an understanding of both quality assurance and visual acceptance. Train at our centre or your own site with Master IPC Trainers.
IPC J-STD 001E is the worldwide training and certification program covering the materials, methods and process controls necessary to produce the highest quality lead and lead free solder joints. Classroom and practical elements covering both plated through hole and surface mount components ensure CIT and CIS students understand how to produce and inspect solder connections. Train at our centre or your own site with Master IPC Trainers.
Hands on instruction and training during the IPC 7711/7721 courses teach the widest range of repair, re-work and modification techniques for surface mount and conventional boards. Removal, repair, replacement and modifications are all covered and courses are available at both CIT Trainer and CIS Application Specialist levels. Train at our centre or your own site with Master IPC Trainers.
IPC/WHMA 620B is the training and certification program for acceptability of cable and wire harnesses. Anyone involved in manufacturing or assessing cable and wire assemblies - the crimps, insulations, soldered and terminal connections – will gain a thorough understanding of how to visually inspect and assess quality. IPC CIT Trainer and CIS Application Specialist courses are both available at our centre or your own site with Master IPC Trainers.
The course for anyone responsible for manufacturing or assessing cable and wire harnesses. IPC/WHMA 620B defines the acceptability of finished assemblies covering crimps, insulations, soldered and terminal connections, potting and coverings. IPC CIT Trainer and CIS Application Specialist courses are both available at our centre or your own site with Master IPC Trainers.
Our unique Electronics Level 2 Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at electronics manufacturing and offers an NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations, Technical Certificate in electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology and an IPC CIS certification. A work based programme covering the needs of Employers and Students in the Electronics Manufacturing industry.
High resolution X Ray inspection is a vital tool in investigating and diagnosing faults with not only electronic assemblies and components but also a wide range of other materials. The X-Tek Revolution system can be hired for non-destructive inspection by your own staff or items can be sent for our team to inspect and provide you with the images. Same day access is available or 48 hour turnaround.
IPC 7711/21 training is aimed at staff working in manufacturing and assembly companies. Experience in most rework/repair procedures along with soldering and component rework skills are required.
IPC 7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies is the industry’s standard for removing and replacing electronic components, and IPC 7721 Repair and Modification of printed boards and assemblies is the industry’s standard for repairing circuitry. The full course teaches the IPC recommended techniques, tools, equipment and materials required to perform removal, replacement, and repair operations on plated through hole and surface mount assemblies as well as land, conductor and laminate repair, and covers procedural requirements, tools, materials and methods for removing and replacing conformal coatings. The programme includes procedures for repairing and modifying boards and assemblies with support for lead free, BGAs and repairs.
At the end of the course, successful students will be able to perform wire splicing; through-hole, J-lead, gull-wing, fine pitch, and chip component rework and replacement using a variety of methods including vacuum extraction, component specific tip, tweezer tips and a hot air removal system; plus conformal coating removal, laminate repair, pad and trace repair, and place and route modification wires.
Electronics Yorkshire is one of UK's Authroized IPC Training Centres, delivering Training & Certification in all 5 IPC programmes - IPC 600, 610, 620, J-STD 001 and 7711 at both CIS and CIT levels.
CIS and CIT Courses are held both at our Training Centre in Leeds and CIS Courses can be delivered at your premises.
