The SD600 is a low cost digital indicator, designed to provide a high level of accuracy at a competitive price.The configuration keys are hidden behind the front panel membrane to prevent accidental operation and a parameter lock facility is available for greater security. A single alarm output is provided as standard, with 6 different alarm modes of operation. A second and third alarm output can be provided if required.A DC voltage output is also provided the supply required by many transducers and signal converters.The shallow depth of the 'SD600' Series allows them to be used in applications that have minimal space behind the mounting panel.

Infra-Kote is a heat-sinking compound for improving the transfer of heat away from the heater into the application. Applying Infra-Kote over the surface of the heater fills holes and slight deformations to reduce hot spots and remove the air gap between the heater and the load. This improves the warm up time and increases the reliability of the heater.

When energy is applied to any point along the length of the tube, the working fluid held against the inner wall at this point is heated and quickly vaporizes. Due to the internal pressures, this vapour rapidly migrates to a cooler section of the tube where it is condensed and gives up its latent heat. After this vapour cools back to liquid, a sophisticated solid-state pump returns the condensate to the evaporator site without regard for orientation, and the cycle repeats. The end result is a rapid diffusion of temperature along the entire length of the Isobar, and the setting up of a completely isothermal condition
