Nickel Alloy Tubes

Our Nickel alloys tubes provide excellent corrosion resistance in both aqueous and high temperature applications, making them suitable for extreme temperature and pressure applications. We manufacture nickel alloy tubes in the following alloys:

Titanium Tubes

Our titanium tubing is exceptionally corrosion resistant with a tensile strength and melting point that exceeds austenitic or ferritic stainless steels. We manufacture titanium tubes used in aircraft hydraulic systems, medical implants, offshore subsea equipment in the following alloys:

Ti CP (Grade 1 and Grade 2), Ti 3AL-2.5V (Grade 9), Ti 6AL-4V (Grade 5), Ti 6AL-4V ELI (Grade 23), Ti A-40

Seamless Tubes

Our seamless tubes are produced from seamless tube extensions and reduced in size until they steadily match the requirements needed for specific applications.

We manufacture seamless tubes in stainless steel, nickel alloy and titanium with outside diameters from 0.25 mm (0.010 in) up to 50 mm (2 in).

Seamless Tubes

Welded Tubes

Our welded tubes start the process as flat strips of metal and are transformed into a tube through a process of rollers, before the seam is welded together.

We use a range of eddy current and ultrasonic testing methods to gauge a consistent weld and tubes can be drawn down by sinking or plug drawing.

Heat Exchanger tubing

Our heat exchanger tubes are utilised for cooling, heating or re-heating fluids, or gases and are manufactured in seamless, welded or welded redrawn form in a variety of materials including:

Control line tubing

Fine Tubes offers coiled tubing for control lines in stainless steel and nickel alloys. Control line tubes are used in the following applications:

• Downhole hydraulic control lines
• Downhole chemical control lines
• Subsea umbilical control lines for hydraulic power and chemical injection
• Smooth bore control lines used in fibre optic applications

The standard grades are alloys 316L, 825 and 625. Specialist grades of stainless steel in duplex and super duplex and nickel alloy are available on request.

Hydraulic tubing

Fine Tubes is a leading supplier of hydraulic tubes to the aerospace industry and we are one of only a handful of tube mills worldwide qualified to produce the titanium tubing used for the high pressure hydraulic system of the Airbus A380.We supply high temperature hydraulic tubes as straight lengths in the following grades:

  • Titanium - 3Al2.5V, 4Al2.5V, CP Grade 2
  • Stainless steels - 21-6-9 (welded), 347, 321, 304/304L
  • Nickel alloys - 75, C263, 600, 625, 718 (high temperature)

Nuclear Fuel tubes

Our nuclear tubes are deployed in the fuel cans of advanced gas-cooled reactors where they endure temperatures of 650°C, without fail, for five years non-stop.

Our seamless, welded and redrawn tubing ensure high quality, long life-cycles and safety in supercritical nuclear applications including fuel & control rods, fuel assembly grid wear sleeve tubing, instrumentation tubing and heat exchanger tubing.
