Format NDT Ltd

We offer an extensive variety of non-destructive testing techniques and services including magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection, liquid penetration inspection, and positive material identification.

Magnetic particle inspection is used for locating surface or near to surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic material, raw materials or finished products. Magnetically charged particles highlight the form of the discontinuity and indicate its location, size and shape.

    On-Site & Laboratory Testing
Format NDT Limited provides a comprehensive range of Non-Destructive Testing techniques. On site or Laboratory testing is carried out by our team of accredited test engineers in accordance to all recognized British, European and International standards, operating within the Format NDT' Quality System, which is ISO 9001- 2008 fully accredited through BSI. On-Site & Laboratory Testing
  10. Positive Material Identification (PMI)

    Positive Material Identification (PMI)
Positive Material Identification provides alloy chemistry and grading of materials against UNS and ASME material codes. PMI enables a componments material grade to be determinied and is one of the more specialised methods of Non-destructive-testing. If material certificates have been lost, then PMI is the solution. At Format NDT Ltd, we use the X-MET 5000 XRF Analyser Our latest addition is our ability to undertake SOIL TESTING using this versatile equipment.
