Humber Quality Foods Ltd.

Originally established in 1983 by Managing Director, Peter Sheriff, Humber Quality Foods Ltd has been preparing and distributing high quality Carrot Batons and Peeled Potatoes together with other Processed Vegetables to major players in the food industry for the last 17 years.

Originally operating from an initial factory size of some 2000 sq/ft, the Company expanded to the present factory, which is 8000 sq/ft and located at High Street East, in Scunthorpe in 1995. However plans are now in place to move to a new 22000 sq/ft facility, where the processing area will include low, medium and high risk areas, together with dedicated chilling and packing rooms all developed to very high specifications and controls.

From start to finish HQF is geared to delivering products of the highest quality. All personnel take on board the responsibility to ensure that the desired quality is achieved throughout all functions and operations under their control. Continuous monitoring from the checking of ingredients through to inspection of the finished product ensures that the Company Dedication to Quality is total. And it is this continual attention to detail that has enabled Humber Quality Foods Limited to build up their reputation for high quality produce within the industry. This is why our main customers now include distributors of chilled produce, food manufacturers, regional catering establishments and bulk purchasers for supermarket packing.

Humber Quality Foods Limited have their own fleet of chilled delivery vehicles which travel daily as far North as Newcastle and as far South as Somerset.

Nationwide deliveries are made to customers via the excellent Motorway network adjacent to the factory.

The very best temperature control equipment is utilised on the lorries to ensure continuity of the chilled chain. For larger deliveries we contract local refrigerated hauliers despatching by the trailer load with short lead times.
