Indigoswitch manufactures a ventilation interlock systems compliant to BS EN 60730:1-2001 suitable for commercial kitchens. It will allow catering equipment to be used when fan speed is low provided the temperature next to the canopy is low and it monitors air flow inside the extract system rather than pressure differential between extract duct and kitchen. Designed by experienced catering engineer. It fails to safety, cannot be overridden and as it allows the kitchen to be used when ventilation rates are low it saves on heating costs.
