Here at Industrial Interface, our signal conditioning range includes loop powered isolators featuring RFI protection, input isolation and with up to 2kV of isolation available. They have high noise immunity and accuracy and are cost-effective solutions.

Our signal conditioning range also consists of in-head transmitters. They have linearisation of input and are field configurable for T/C and temperature range. They provide a low cost solution and provide high accuracy and superior noise immunity.

This isolated 4-20mA can then be connected to any input stage without affecting other signals connected to the same earth. The output can be connected to any potential within 1kV of the input negative terminal while transients of 2.5kV can be withstood. Another typical application is to use the 420i to enable two instruments to monitor the same 4-20mA at the same time. The 420i is wired in series with the input of the first instrument and then the output wired to the second. The 420i also acts as a noise reduction device, giving a 'clean' 4-20mA output.
