The Carl Stuart Group was founded in 1984 by Stuart and Gillian Smith. From a small beginning our business has grown to encompass many services and products, covering different market sectors and geographical regions. The focus of our business, however, remains the same. We are a customer orientated company and strive to meet and exceed your expectations in everything we do.
As our portfolio grew we decided to present and promote our product and technical service offerings under distinct brands. The Laboratory instrumentation, consumables and technical & integration services are promoted under Lab Unlimited.
The Lab Unlimited product portfolio offers laboratory/analytical products from more than four hundred leading manufacturers. A substantial part of this offering is published on this very site. We also produce a printed catalogue that can be requested by emailing us.

ALUGRAM® Glass plates RP-18 W UV254 Plate format cm: 20 x 20 Gel thickness mm : 0.25 Pack of 50 RP-18 W/UV254 octadecyl-modified nano silica layers for HPTLC ALUGRAM® base material: Nano-K silica 60 specific surface (BET) ~500m²/g mean pore size 60Å specific pore volume 0.75ml/g particle size 2 to 10 µm; for preparative plates (1 mm thickness of layer) standard silica 60 particle size 5 to 17 µm pH stability 2 to 10 indicator: acid-resistant product with a pale blue fluorescence for short-wave UV (254nm); UV-absorbing substances apppear as dark-blue to black spots on a light-blue background; partial octadecyl modification wettable with water carbon content 14%. 18-100 normal phase or reversed phase separation modes with eluents from anhydrous solvents to mixtures with high concentrations of water (see figure); the relative polarity of the eluent determines the polarity of the layer.
