  1. New RTU Offering PLC-style Automated Controls
    28 July 2022

We have released a new Intelligent RTU to complement our exisisting range. The Midi-10 is ideal for use with the Sitewatch Anywhere Cloud-based solution.  This is our first RTU to offer a PLC engine allowing it to provide automated controls, such as pumping station level control, weed-screen control and PID sluice gate controls.

The onboard Input/Output channels can be supplemented by optional plug-in expansion modules, and Modbus expansion via serial and TCP connections.  The RTU is also able to interface with VSDs, PLCs and Intelligent Meters.

The Industry standard DNP3 protocol delivers efficient and reliable telemetry communications between RTU and Server.

The RTU is available in a polycarbonate wall-mounting enclosure and a 19" rack-mounting alternative.

The RTU is ideal for applications including:

         Silo and Tank Farms
         Pump Stations (Pumps/Weed screens)
         Airports
         Flood/Environmental Monitoring
         LNG and CNG Compressor Packages
         Waster Compactors and Tippers

  2. New small-sized low-power RTU launched
    28 July 2022

We are pleased to announce that we have added a small-sized RTU to our range.  The Mini RTU is about half the size of the Midi RTU and is suited to ultra low-power remote monitoring and logging applications.  With several power supply types and various additional options, the RTU is a good choice in many circumstances.

It is suitable for monitoring the most remote sites where there is no Power. The RTU uses a cellular modem to send status and alarm information to SCADA or IIOT servers.

The unit can monitor a small number of analogue and digital signals and includes options for pulse counting, calculations and automated relay output.

The Mini can also operate as a stand-alone data Logger. The internal battery  will last for years when the logger is configured in a low-power mode.

The RTU is Ideally suited for use with Sitewatch® Anywhere Cloud Based Telemetry (IOT), including:

            Silo and Tank Farms
            Flood and Water Level Monoitoring
            Environmental Monitoring

    2 October 2017

Lee-Dickens has been awarded a contract to replace the existing South Holland Internal Drainage Board (SHIDB) telemetry system with a Sitewatch Telemetry and SCADA system.  The new Sitewatch system will provide full monitoring and control at 18 pumping stations and monitor water levels at 2 tidal sluices across the SHIDB region, using a variety of communication methods.  Once the new Sitewatch Telemetry and SCADA system has been commissioned, phase 2 will commence to trial real-time CCTV onto the commissioned solution, which will work in support of the operation of the new Sitewatch Telemetry and SCADA system.

  6. Michael 50 years' services
    2 October 2017

The Directors and Staff at Lee-Dickens wish to offer a big, loud “Thank you!” to Michael who completes 50 years of loyal service to the company on Friday 15th January 2016.  With his exemplary attendance record and his cheery disposition, he has provided a major boost to the day-to-day working and morale of the whole company.  Long may it continue.

It is noted that in January 1966, when Michael started his employment at Lee-Dickens, Lyndon Johnson as President of the United States gave his first “State of the Union Address” referencing mainly the war in Vietnam, and here at home the United Kingdom ceased all trade with Rhodesia.  These events put the 50 year time span into some kind of perspective.

Any resemblance to Phil Collins is purely  a coincidence …
