Industrial coatings are usually much heavier than those applied in painting and decorating of buildings, so they require powerful equipment to apply them, usually by spray.  The most common type of equipment is airless spray where the coating maybe atomised by the pressure of the material alone, up to 7,000 psi.  The airless spray may be enhanced with compressed air to air-assisted airless to produce a finer spray and better finish, or by applying an electrostatic potential between a special spray gun and the work being sprayed, to attract the paint particles all around it.

We can service and repair all the equipment that we supply, and ship consumable parts and most spares for delivery by next working day.  We can arrange collection and return of equipment to bring to our workshop.

We are official Graco and Wagner distributors and service centres and also stock and repair Titan and Sharpe spray equipment

Plaster and Render Sprayers

Equipment to spray plaster and render (textured materials) is used widely on the Continent where the plaster is often supplied ready mixed in plastic bags or tubs because it can be left in the sprayer between jobs and there is little wastage as surplus can be recycled.  The time saved over using a hand float is very large and can be at least five times faster.  Plaster spraying is especially useful for skimming dry lining.

We supply and repair all types of plaster and render sprayers, with worm drive or piston pumps, as well as supply useful accessories such as stainless steel fine edge spatulas for smoothing the plaster, with telescopic poles for ceiling work.

Line Marking with Paint or Thermoplastic

We have equipment for the line marking of car parks and warehouses with paint which is much faster than making the lines with thermoplastic, and far less expensive.  Furthermore, as the paint does not leave a significant thickness of material, the lines can be over-painted, unlike thermoplastic which has to be removed first before new material can be laid down.  In high traffic areas such as main roads, the longer life of thermoplastic may outway the disadvantages;  also thermoplastic can be laid and the area put back to use more quickly and it is less affected by rain.  We can supply compact thermoplastic line markers that have their own heaters and can be used in confined areas.

Power Paint Rolling

Although paint spraying is faster than paint rolling, there are times when you need to use a roller, such as in high winds, or when you need a mechanical action to force the paint into a rough surface, or perhaps when the property owners will not allow spraying.  Power paint rollers are much faster than a hand roller and quickly achieve a more uniform finish.

Most power paint rollers are fed internally with the paint coming out of holes in the cover.  There are also spray rollers where the paint is applied directly on the surface being painted, not on the roller cover, which are faster than the internally-fed rollers and often use to apply a lot of materail quickly such as block-filler.

Most power rollers of either type require the American size roller cover which is 1 ½" internal diameter so check that your supplier has a good stock of them.  The spray rollers require a cover that is not perforated.

We stock Graco and Titan internally-fed as well as their spray rollers, and perforated and non-perforated covers of various nap lengths to suit, delivering by next working day.
