Moulded Plastic Components Ltd has in excess of 25 years experience in injection moulding, providing cost effective quality injection mouldings using 11 moulding machines.
Our main customer base is in the electrical switch and gas industry and in more recent years we have injection moulded bespoke lighting, instrument lenses, prismatic domes and Fresnel lenses. We also have a more creative side whereby we injection mould embellishments i.e. Christmas trees, snowflakes, hearts and gem stones for cards, etc, which can be hot foiled. For this we have a conveyor feed ‘Roll on Hot Foil Stamping Press’ which is ideally suitable for high production foiling, along with two other flat bed foiling machines.
When we receive an enquiry, we offer assistance in design to ensure the moulding fulfils your requirements. Once the design has been agreed, an injection mould tool can be produced, either prototype or fully hardened. Materials are sourced for the end product taking into account cost and performance. We are also proud to be ISO9001 registered, which ensures quality throughout the manufacturing process.

As experienced moulders for 30 years and with an excess of 100 years experience between us we can offer a vast amount of knowledge and expertise. Our moulding machines range from 15 tonne to 150 tonne enabling us to offer a wide range of injection mouldings.
Throughout the tool-making design and prototype phase our tool makers and specialist engineers are always on hand to offer help, advise and assist in the development of your custom part.
All materials are possible to use in injection moulding but we specialise in ABS, PPO, PA6 6.6, PBT and Thermo Plastic Rubbers and for the lenses PMMA, Zeonex and many many more.
Once production is underway the parts are checked first off, every 15 – 20 minutes throughout the run and last off to ensure parts meet with our strict quality control.
If you require bespoke injection moulded plastic optics in the material of your choice, we can work with you to achieve your components from single elements to finished products. Lightweight, aspheric, Fresnel, square, round, profile of your choice and prism.
Offering a service of diamond turned prototype lenses in various materials.
Our experienced team can provide an in-house CAD design facility with full prototyping service. We can produce from any 3D dimensional drawing the most complex of components and manufacture prototypes in various strong plastics which offer greater strength than previous SLA prototyping methods. With 3D printing the production of prototypes has become faster and less expensive, although if preferred prototype tooling in aluminium can be used, the main advantage is that any material can be used.
Having decided on the design of your component our tool makers can then specify, design and make your tooling in-house. However, if it is more cost effective we can also use our equally experienced overseas supplier.
Small batch runs can be supplied of new parts enabling you to see how the component performs in situ before committing to production tooling.
