Why Do I Need Acoustic Door Seals?

Acoustic door seals have been around for numerous years but until the revision of Approved Document 'E' on the 1st of July 2003 they were classed as specialist items and not an essential element to any project.

The fundamental requirements of Document 'E' is for the protection against sound from other parts of the building or adjoining buildings for houses, flats and other rooms for residential purposes, including hotels, hostels, care homes, student accommodation or any building where more than one person or family is living.
