    Two-pack (2K) polyurethane paints offer the best combination of properties for external use on components which cannot be oven baked. They are often used as a final decorative coat over a multicoat anticorrosive wet paint system. They are also useful for coating plastics and electrical equipment which has been assembled and wired before coating. Two-pack polyurethane is available in a wide range of colours and gloss levels, and gives good resistance to UV and weathering.

    The antimicrobial agent is based on silver ions which are activated and transported by moisture. Nylon has greater hygroscopic activity than polyester, increasing the antimicrobial effect. Effective against 99% of microbes including viruses, MRSA. C Diff, legionella. Effective against moulds and yeasts and so reduces black spot and odours in fridges. Lasts as long as the coating (which being nylon is a long time). Recognised by the Health Protection Agency (class 3 recommendation). Food safe.
