Abingdon based Oxford Engineering was established in 1968. Sales of over £9 million are achieved, employing around 100 personnel and providing a contract manufacturing service involving machining, welding, assembly and test of electromechanical products.
Since the 1980s the company has built a culture of employee empowerment, total quality, Kaizen and in the last 5 years, has been at the forefront of "lean" techniques. This was acknowledged by Trade and Industry Secretary, Patricia Hewitt, when she launched the Manufacturing Advisory Service at the companies UK plant in 2003.
