Paul James Blinds is a local blind company operating primarily in Essex and Suffolk.

Paul Alexander and James Askew established the business some 5 years ago, having both worked for other blind companies for many years.

We decided to set up Paul James Blinds so that we could offer a more personal service at far more competitive prices.

As an added bonus, Paul James Blinds are not tied to any single manufacturer, so can offer a far wider and more diverse range of blinds than most of our competition, allowing us to pick from the best of the market place to find the right blinds for you.

Paul and James are experts with over 30 years combined commercial experience in the blind industry. Being a local firm, you can rest assured that you will be dealing with Paul and James from the initial phone call right through to the fitting of your blinds.

Vertical Blinds

Why Choose Vertical Blinds?

Vertical Blinds are often a good choice in a variety of applications because they are the most versatile type of window covering, and they are very economical.

This is especially true when you are trying to cover a large expanse. They make great side blinds for a conservatory and you can completely control your privacy whilst still letting in the light

There are lots of patterns and modern fabrics available in our new vertical blind range.

Pros
Most versatile window covering
Large choice of pattern and plain fabrics
Can maintain privacy but still allow light to enter
Very economical to cover large areas

Cons
Beware of control cords and chains hanging down when small children are around
Vertical blinds take up the window sill, which means they leave no room for ornaments

Roller Blinds

Why Choose Roller Blinds?

Roller Blinds are one of the most basic blinds, offering a clean finish to any room.

Roller blinds have gone through a bit of a make over with new developments such as “soft raise” which will allow the blind to raise as if by magic, avoiding all those hanging chains.

There are lots of patterns and modern fabrics available in our new range.

Pros

  • Very easy to use — choice of control options
  • Clean Lines
  • Great blackout option for bedrooms
  • Different shapes available to finish the bottom of the blind

Cons

  • Spring loaded mechanism can be difficult to control — so opt for chain for “soft raise” options
  • Not good at controlling the light coming into a room, roller blinds are basically up or down
