Precolor 'EXELL' large rigid one piece water tanks of up to 21475 gallons (97,500 litres) are used extensively in the building & construction of schools, hospitals and many other types of buildings. These large one piece water tanks are specifically designed as an superior alternative to sectional tanks where access is not restricted. The tanks are usually placed in position prior to building completion or for use externally where there are no restrictions present. The main benefits being as follows: - No expensive installation costs No joints or sealant No bolts or steelwork in contact with the water. Low future maintenance costs The 'EXELL' range of water tanks are generally more cost effective This makes the Precolor 'EXELL' water tank range a very cost effective, fully WRAS Approved, superior alternative to the conventional sectional tanks. As with all our one piece water tanks, all external bracing and support is encapsulated within the GRP laminate to prevent corrosion. This gives a hygienic and easy to clean interior.

Our GRP F & E tanks are manufactured with exceptional chemical resistance and an outstanding combination of heat resistance and flexibility. The feed & expansion tanks are suitable for temperatures up to 120°c making them an excellant alternative to metal F & E tanks, they are corrosion resistant, they have a smooth internal bacteria resistant surface and are available with encapsulated CFC & HCFC insulation.

Precolor's GRP One Piece Cold Water Storage Tanks have been specifically designed to meet the stringent requirements of BS EN 13280: 2001. They are fully tested and approved for current water regulations, these water tanks have been specified throughout the UK by County and District Councils, Consulting Engineers and Architects. They are light in weight, easily handled and resistant to corrosion and attack from bacteria which may normally be expected in cold water systems. GRP is easily cut and drilled with ordinary plumbers tools. We can also manufacture standard specialist tanks for storing a wide range of chemicals. Our Water Tanks can be manufactured in our standard grey colour or to a specfic RAL colour as per the customers requirements, popular options are British Racing Green and Blue.

Pre-insulated Water tanks protect contents from extremes of heat and cold, thereby reducing excessive tempurature fluctuations which increase the risk of bacteria growth. To restrict microbiological growth the temperature in the water tank should be kept as low as possible and below 20°C. Insulation is available in either 25mm, 50mm, 75mm or 100mm expanded CFC free polyurethane foam encapsulated in both the lid and tank sides. Water Tanks supported on a flat base do not normally require insulation underneath. Standard positioned pre-formed cutouts to accomodate tank connections and fittings are provided on all special and standard tanks. If required, we can position the cutouts to the customer's specification.

Precolor GRP sectional tanks are used in hotels, schools and hospitals etc, both in this country and abroad. They are for use where access is restricted or if replacement of a defective water tank involves structural alteration to the building. Often, one piece tanks or semi sectional tanks can be installed instead of the more costly sectional tanks. We would always advise our customers to consider these options before deciding on installing a sectional tank. Sectional tanks can be supplied as a package with installation or supply only to be erected by competant engineers.

Semi-Sectional Water Storage Tanks (Two Piece Water Tanks) are often used as an alternative to the fully Sectional Water Tanks when access is limited. They are specifically designed with only one horizontal joint to allow access through doorways which can often save the cost of expensive sectional installation as they can easily be installed by your own site engineers.
