Primasil Silicones Ltd
We are the leading UK independent supplier of silicone rubber compounds. We specialise in many areas of expertise with silicone, such as the production of silicone rubber mouldings.
We have a team of professional and dedicated silicone rubber moulding engineers who work with you to develop new ideas or existing products. The quality control process for silicone rubber mouldings begins before designs are sealed and continues through the sampling and approval process. The most suitable method of silicone rubber moulding will depend on the volumes required, the complexity of the part, and the finish required.
We provide the complete range of services, as you would expect from the UKs leading silicone supplier.
As the UKs leading silicone supplier, our silicone compounds are custom formulated to exactly match the customers' requirements. These are then delivered to the customer to be used in-house or used for manufacturing in our extensive silicone processing facility. Our facility includes compression, injection and liquid silicone presses and state-of-the-art extrusion lines.
We are suppliers of a comprehensive range of silicone tubing to many different industries. Our silicone tubing has an external diameter from 0.5mm to over 100mm.
The silicone tubing is often used in the food industry for automatic drinks dispensers and other catering equipment, or for the healthcare market, substituting inferior rubber and plastic products with technically superior silicone rubber.
Our market leading medical tube is ideally suited for applications where strength, durability, long-life and non-reactivity with bodily fluids and skin is of utmost importance. Our medical tube is platinum or peroxide cured. This refers to the method of curing, sometimes known as vulcanisation, used during the extrusion process when the tubes are formed.
Platinum cured medical tube uses an addition cure system with no by-products. Peroxide cured tube uses a free radical cure system, producing organic acid by-products, typically removed by post curing where the tube is exposed to a high temperature for an extended period of time.
