Compressed air safety training for operators

Compressed air systems can be found in almost every industry.  Used in vehicle manufacturing and the pharmaceutical industry, for injection moulding & machining and sandblasting to name a few, compressed air is a vital part of all modern manufacturing processes and is thought of as the “fourth utility” after electricity, water and gas.

As with all modern industrial processes compressed air is safe when used correctly – however operators may not be aware of the hazards associated with the equipment.

It is the responsibility of the employer to provide employees with the relevant safety training required to do their job.

PGS have developed Compressed air safety training for operators.

A 30 minute E-learning programme that covers the following topics:

  • What is pressure
  • How pressure is generated
  • The 3 main elements controlled by a compressed air system
  • Hazards of pressure and the key components of a compressed air system
  • Correct use of compressed air to blow down equipment and machinery
  • Safe use of air tools

During the programme learners answer topical questions in preparation for a final quiz.  Learners will receive a printable certificate on successful completion of the quiz.

  • Nationally Accredited Safety Training
  • Discounts available for multiple users.
  • Contact PGS for more information, pricing schedule or to enquire about purchasing the package to host in your own environment. Call 01606 872864 email admin@pgstraining.com
