We have been developing and manufacturing a wide range of measurement instruments since 1920, always with an emphasis on quality, durability and service. As our products remain in use throughout the world we continue to support our customers with spares, repairs and replacements and reengineered products.
In 2001 we joined with Rheintacho GmbH to create one of the largest rotational speed measurement manufacturers in the world. Rheintacho brings over 100 years of additional expertise, especially in the field of non-contact rotational speed sensors and stroboscopes.
As a consequence, our expanded range now covers a wide selection of products for the measurement, indication and control of rotational speed together with a range of stroboscopes for quality control and maintenance. 
Our handheld portable range of tachometers and stroboscopes provides the user with the ability to measure speed and distance as well as carrying out maintenance checks by creating a ‘frozen’ image using a strobe. With equipment for use in a range of environments and applications there is a solution for every need. 
Where a fixed solution is required we offer stroboscopes with a range of light sources, widths and trigger configurations to suit individual demands.
Our rotational speed instruments range from mechanical indicators which are directly connected to moving components, to non-contact sensors which generate a signal from the component and transmit this to electronic devices for control and indication. With this range we have the capability to supply effective solutions from stock, or to engineer existing products to meet specific requirements, either as a ‘one-off’ or for a serial production.
Our technical strength is key to remaining at the forefront of our industry, and we work closely with our clients during the product development process to ensure that when we design and develop a product for them it meets the specification and adds value to the finished product.     REDPOINT Handheld Digital Optical Tachometer

    The REDPOINT handheld digital/optical tachometer is a compact measuring unit for proximity measurement of rotational speed. It focuses a beam of light beam at a thin reflective strip attached to the object, which reflects it at the speed of rotation. The result appears immediately on the 5-digit LCD. The distance between the REDPOINT and the test object can be up to 600 mm.

With the optical method, it focuses a beam of light at a thin sticker attached to the object, which reflects it at the speed of rotation. The result appears immediately on the 5-digit LCD. The distance between the Rotaro Te digital hand tachometer and the test object can be up to 600 mm. The Rotaro Te comes with a special adapter to enable the measurement in connection with elevator cables and is the perfect fit for elevator maintenance.

One is optical, and therefore non-contacting; the other is mechanical using an adapter and various probes. With the optical method, it focuses a beam of light at a thin sticker attached to the object, which reflects it at the speed of rotation. The result appears immediately on the 5-digit LCD. The distance between the rotaro T digital hand tachometer and the test object can be up to 600 mm. The Rotaro T comes with a special adapter which is used to guide yarn, thread, rope etc.

The distance between the Rotaro Tw digital hand tachometer and the test object can be up to 600 mm. The Rotaro Tw comes with a special adapter to enable the measurement in connection with welding wire and is the perfect fit for typical applications such as calibration, service and maintenance work within the welding and wire industry.

    The Rheintacho rotas programmable rotary speed monitor is a pulse value system - its primary application is to monitor rotary speed and velocity based on period duration measurement. If the upper or lower thresholds are exceeded, it actuates relay outputs according to the set commands. There is also a version with a scalable current output for analogue measured values.

    Stationary LED Stroboscopes

    Stroboscopes are versatile instruments for the visualisation of very fast movements. They are important and necessary tools for the inspection and control of machines and manufacturing lines, e.g. in printing or textile industries. Stroboscopes could also be used for the non-contact measuring of rotational speed. If the stroboscope flash frequency matches the frequency of movement, the test object appears stationary. It can be observed and its frequency of movement recorded. Rheintacho offers stroboscopes in different design and technologies. For every single application the right tool for you. The RHEINTACHCO family of LED stationary stroboscopes which encompasses 3 sizes, namely a 3000, 5000 and 7000 LED Strobes, cover a wide variety of web widths and can also be liked together to increase flexibility of use in different specific conditions. A 10000 LED version is also available on request.
