Safety Systems UK Ltd is an internationally successful £30 million per year business which designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of advanced and high technology products for pressure and flame protection.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Pentair Ltd (NYSE: PNR), Safety Systems UK Ltd brings together over 180 years’ worth of experience in manufacturing from five major brands (Bailey, Birkett, Amal, Marston, Marvac), providing safety products to a vast number of sectors and applications, including the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food and Beverage industries. We are also manufacturer and distribute for Pentair Ltd’s brand Cash (cryogenic valves and controls).

Bailey- Safety & Regulating Valves

A full range of pressure reducing valves and associated relief valves, in bronze, iron or steel, for steam, air and liquid service. These valves are suitable for mainly offsite and utilities duties. All Bailey products that require certification in accordance with European legislation are fully PED and ATEX approved.

Birkett –Safety Relief Valves

Established for over 160 years, Birkett makes a full range of Safety Relief Valve designs in our Manchester facility, including: -

Birkett WB Series - Full Nozzle Spring loaded SRV’s

Birkett Safeflo - Thermal Relief valves,

Birkett Safeset - Pilot Operated SRV’s

All are fully in accordance with API 520 (design) and 526 (dimensional) codes, and with full ASME “UV” certification.

Amal—Flame Arrestors

We have a full range of in-line and end-of-line, Deflagration and Detonation Arrestors. Certified to BS 7244 and with USCG approval, these arrestors are of a superior design to most others on the market, in that they are suitable for service on Gas groups B, C, and D, and also for application on Hydrogen service.

Marston—Bursting Discs

Manufacturing a comprehensive range of Bursting Discs since 1957, in our Wolverhampton factory, we offer a wide variety of exotic materials. Fully in accordance with all relevant International codes and standards, and carrying ASME “UD” certification.

Marvac – Tank Protection Valves

An extensive range of products from Relief valves, Blanketing valves, Emergency Vents and Gauge Hatches to protect low pressure storage tanks and vessels. The products available through Marvac are all UDT and GOST- R approved.

Our on-site research and development facility, located at our Manchester facility enables us to deliver solutions to relief stream problems and also to pioneer many significant product developments. Safety Systems UK Ltd facilities include a clean room and degreasing tank for assembly and testing of valves used in low temperature gas applications. A unique flame and explosion laboratory is also available where a customer’s actual pipe configuration can be tested.
