Solway Precast Products Limited was established in 2012 and is based in South Ayrshire where it purchased the production facility of Solway Precast. This facility was mothballed by previous owners and was purchased with all moulds and precast equipement, it has good road links to deliver our products throughout the UK. Our precast production facility where we produce precast concrete products is located in the village of Barrhill, South Ayrshire in Scotland and covers 11 acres, including factory area of 10,000 square metres.

Our production facility has an on-site batching plant together, with a mould making workshop whers specialist joiners and steel mould fabricators develop moulds. We have a skilled and experienced workforce of 20 staff which is developing as the company develops, local skill base is good for the factory requirements.
Solway Precast has its own estimating department based at Barrhill, which provides technical back-up and advice for all of the Company's products. It also produces designs for bespoke products required to solve clients' particular engineering needs.

Our products are specific to the farming comunity requirements and come in standard sizes and made to meet your sizes. Columns & Beams

We manufacture columns and beams for structural buildings, these can be for supporting large weights. Any shape and size have been manufactured in past projects, from 65 tonne units for a turbine shed project, to 5 tonne units as floor support units for multistory car parks.

Ground Beams

In modern retail units projects ground beams are a quick and easy method of forming the surrounding base wall. We can incorporate door openings and have lifting points to allow installation. Slotted ends which slide onto attachments of the steel portal frame, are the fixing method.

Vehicle Crash Barriers

We manufacture precast portable vehicle crash barriers, they come in 3 meter lengths with a first and last down. They have a half check joint to allow them to join together and be connected with a bolt. They also have a incorporated lifting loop for handling. Our first or last down are handed to allow the continuation of the joints and are sloped toward the traffic, standard units are 2.7 tonnes and can be landed from a crane mounted truck. These offer a solid, quick to install barrier system

Electric sectional cable ducts are an important part of a substation to lay cables in. They can incorporate turns, junctions and access holes.

Lift Shafts

We have a quick and easy system to form a lift shaft, once the site required base has been cast the shaft can be installed within 1 day. The units come with integrated doorways, lift manufacturers fittings and a tested certificated roof slab with fittings. The units have a half check joint to lock together, this aids the quick installation.

Stairs

Stairs can be made to any rise and going required to your project, we manufacture upside down in our moulds and offer a perfect finish on the rise and goings. We can incorporate fixings, landings at both end and have exposed aggregate surfaces to allow overlay of landings.

Wave Walls

Wave walls are a key sea defense project, they are quick and easy to install and can be made to any profile to suit your project. They can also be a protection unit for a reservoir scheme where volume stored is to be increased.

We manufacture water transfer channels to any size or height, these have a half check joint for sealing purposes.

Sectional CSO Chambers

We have a sectional CSO chamber, this includes base unit, sectional tank segments with pipe access holes, lid support beam and a sectional lid. The lid can incorporate openings for access and equipment. These tanks can be installed quickly and with minimal site requirement.

Slipway Wall and Deck Slabs

Slipway are a key part of a smaller port facility, we produce replacement walls and deck slabs. these are quick to install to allow a simple refurb of the slipway within tide times.
