At Stahlwille we take quality of product and service extremely seriously. The manufacturing process is totally owned and controlled by the company and all tools are forged and finished in our own foundries in Germany giving us complete supply line control and material quality integrity.

The UK operation are responsible for marketing both Stahlwille and VBW brands to the whole of the UK and Ireland and can provide full Technical, Product, Commercial, Logistics and Customer service support.

Going the extra mile

In addition to the standard off the shelf catalogue range of over 3500 products, we offer a range of bespoke services including bespoke kitting, tool control, tool identification, torque calibration, project management and product training.

These services are being taken up by many manufacturing and maintenance/repair operations in and affiliated to the aviation sector. Not least because of the FOD prevention requirements but also as an aid to assist asset management and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Our tools have been manufactured to the highest standards in our own German manufacturing facilities since 1862, from blank forging to finished product, giving us complete control over manufacturing processes, product quality, and consistency.

Tool Control Solutions

A tool control system will deliver improved efficiency in tool management leading to better productivity in assembly and maintenance techniques.

Properly implemented it will reduce the number of tools required to the minimum number of ‘Tools for Task’ resulting in lower acquisition cost.

A global need for tool management has developed as a result of ‘Lean Manufacturing’ initiatives and a specific requirement for safety, particularly protection, from foreign object damage (FOD) in aviation flight safety.

Standard Tool Control Solutions

Initially the tool control system was developed by STAHLWILLE in conjunction with BAE Systems for the aerospace industry with a view to improving FOD safety. This bespoke service has been developed into a standard range, a modular system which enables the customer to build their kit from a selection of standardised options.
